Network services

Broadband to the edge.
Terabits to AI.

FTTx, fixed and mobile wireless, and data center wavelength services. A network services vision connecting communities, enterprises and AI infrastructure.

BUILT AROUND THE NETWORK LIFECYCLE

Turn infrastructure into an operating advantage.

KDI Fiber is envisioned as MicroHealth’s dedicated ISP, managed optical fiber network and telecom services company.

Combine Nokia network technology with a delivery model spanning engineering, deployment, service assurance and asset transfer. Start with the workload and business case; grow the network as requirements mature.

KDI FIBER SERVICE PORTFOLIO - CAPABILITIES

Broadband for communities. Terabit transport for AI.

Access networks connect people and places to the Internet. Dedicated optical services connect data centers with capacity designed around the workload.

01 / FIBER BROADBAND

Broadband Internet. Delivered by fiber.

FTTx connectivity for homes, multi-dwelling buildings, enterprises and healthcare systems. These services combine fiber access, Internet connectivity and managed customer equipment.

FTTH · FTTB · FTTP

Technology & service design

Nokia Lightspan OLTs, ONTs, Altiplano and Corteca support the access and subscriber-experience layers. Internet transit, peering and IP service design are separately engineered.

02 / FIXED WIRELESS

Broadband beyond the fiber footprint.

The fixed wireless Internet is for residences and business sites, including primary access, rapid site activation, and backup connectivity.

Fixed 4G / 5G wireless

Technology & service design

Nokia FastMile gateways and receivers provide the customer access layer. Service feasibility depends on radio coverage, spectrum, site conditions and the selected operator mode

03 / MOBILE WIRELESS

Connectivity that moves with the user.

Mobile broadband for people, field teams, and connected devices through a host-operator or licensed-network arrangement, with enterprise mobility use cases defined during discovery.

Mobile broadband · Enterprise mobility

Technology & service design

RAN, mobile core, SIM/eSIM provisioning and carrier integration must be scoped together. Nokia radio and core technology can support an engineered network deployment; they do not alone provide a mobile subscription.

04 / TERABIT AI TRANSPORT

Dedicated wavelengths & AI campuses.

Data center wavelength services and managed optical transport for AI clusters, cloud interconnection, replication and enterprise data movement.

Data center wavelengths · DCI · MOFN

Technology & service design

Plan 100/400/800GbE client-service options, subject to platform and route validation, on a scalable DWDM transport layer. Nokia ICE7 supports up to 1.2 Tb/s per wavelength; aggregate capacity can grow across multiple wavelengths.

Capability services, subject to engineering and commercial validation. Wavelength transport is private connectivity; it does not include Internet transit unless explicitly contracted. Terabit figures describe optical line capability or aggregate transport capacity, not a guaranteed subscriber speed. Route length, fiber quality, optics, modulation, and protection design determine achievable capacity.

Verified technology foundations, paired with a  MicroHealth and KDI Fiber delivery model.

01 / AI DATA CENTERS

Networks that keep compute connected.

Nokia 7220 IXR switches, SR Linux and Event-Driven Automation support programmable leaf-spine fabrics for AI and conventional workloads.

Value gain: fabric design, validated changes, integration and an operating model aligned to workload growth.

03 / NEXT-GENERATION FTTX

Build fiber for more than the home.

Nokia Lightspan MF provides software-defined fiber access, including 25G and 50G PON options. Select capabilities depend on the hardware and release.

Value gain: staged access upgrades, OLT and ONT integration, subscriber activation and service expansion.

Lightspan MF | XGS-PON | 25G / 50G PON

04 / ACCESS OPERATIONS

Make subscriber experience visible.

Altiplano supports fixed-access control and automation. Corteca manages broadband devices and Wi-Fi experience.

Value gain: align provisioning, monitoring and support workflows across access and in-home connectivity.

Altiplano | Corteca | WiFi Beacons

05 / AI-RAN

Prepare the radio network for AI.

Nokia’s AI-RAN direction combines anyRAN software with accelerated computing, including an AirScale evolution path.

Value gain: readiness studies, transport planning and scoped pilots. Availability and OEM participation must be confirmed.

AirScale | anyRAN | Readiness & pilots

06 / LIFECYCLE SERVICES

Carry the design into operations.

Nokia offers professional services for data center network design and deployment, with post-live support options.

Value gain: MicroHealth program governance and KDI Fiber field execution, with OEM work separately scoped and contracted.

Optical DCI / Managed Optical Fiber Networks

More visibility. More control. A clearer path to scale.

A MOFN combines managed optical infrastructure with a customer-specific connectivity design. Nokia’s optical DCI portfolio supplies technology foundations for high-capacity links between data center locations.

KDI Fiber role: coordinate route and fiber access, optical engineering, equipment integration, monitoring and capacity expansion under clearly defined commercial and operational responsibilities.

Value to assess: faster capacity activation, visibility into performance and a repeatable expansion process. Results depend on available routes, delivery scope and customer requirements.

Purpose-built value

One infrastructure strategy. Different missions.

Expand compute. Connect the campuses.

Design the network around workload movement, resilience, and the next capacity increment. The joint model connects MicroHealth program governance with KDI Fiber network delivery.

  • AI and cloud fabrics with a validated automation approach
  • Optical DCI and MOFN options aligned to routes and capacity
  • Assess cost per delivered bit, utilization and time to activate

Grow beyond a single service.

Build a common infrastructure plan for residential broadband, business connectivity and wholesale opportunities. Align equipment sourcing with deployment, activation and operations.

  • FTTX evolution using Nokia Lightspan and access automation
  • Optical transport for business, mobile and data center demand
  • Track activation time, take rate, service margin and support effort

Keep the clinical mission connected.

Connect hospitals, outpatient sites and data environments to support imaging, records and AI workflows. MicroHealth brings existing healthcare IT context to the proposed network practice.

  • Segment clinical, administrative and connected-device traffic
  • Engineer diverse paths and recovery objectives for critical sites
  • Validate security controls and workflow performance; no compliance guarantee is implied

Lifecycle model

Build with a clear path to ownership.

Choose project delivery, managed operations, or build–operate–transfer. Scope, responsibility and acceptance are agreed at each stage.

01 / DESIGN

Engineer the business case.

Demand, routes, fiber rights, capacity, high-level design, bill of materials and total-cost assumptions.

02 / BUILD

Integrate with discipline.

Coordinate procurement, site readiness, installation, configuration, testing and documented acceptance.

03 / OPERATE

Make performance measurable.

Monitoring, incident handling, capacity reviews and OEM escalation under an agreed staffing and SLA model.

04 / TRANSFER

Hand over an operable asset.

Transfer agreed assets, as-built records, credentials, runbooks and training once contractual milestones are met.

Commercial design must address funding, title, software-license transferability, fiber access rights, acceptance criteria, warranty responsibilities and operating liabilities. No financing or service-level commitment is represented here.

The market signal

AI growth makes infrastructure planning urgent.

The IEA’s 2025 outlook projects a sharp rise in global data center electricity use. Our strategic implication: plan network capacity, power and operating efficiency together, before demand outruns the design.
